Fenris's 9th Birthday
Fenris is the dog who made us fall in love with the White Swiss Shepherd. He combines strength, temperament, and versatility. A large, athletic male with thick fur and a distinctive, wolf-like expression, he attracts attention with both his appearance and personality. Lively, confident, and always ready for action, he excels in many areas: from dog frisbee to nosework to herding, where he demonstrated excellent instincts. Although he can be a barker, his natural joy for life and clear willingness to cooperate make him a dog you'll never be bored with.
And in private?
He's a dog who reacts to any food synonym with a series of crazy hopping circles, then launches full-on zoomies and flies through the garden like a bullet. He plays with puppies as if he himself had never grown up—without a hint of detachment, but with immense joy. At the same time, Fenris has always stood out among his breed for his self-confidence, intelligence, and independence in his work. Before carrying out an order, he carefully analyzes... what he'll get out of it. There's not a shred of grace in him—to this day, he doesn't know where it ends and where it begins.
In his youth, the number of torn ears and cut paws made me seriously worry whether, at this rate of self-destruction, he'd live to see retirement. Fortunately, he survived and is doing great, as confirmed by a recent veterinary checkup.
The only "downside" (though he wouldn't agree): he's the only one of our dogs with food allergies and doesn't eat dry food—he lives exclusively on Granata Pet cans.
9 years old, and his personality is still the same.
